Location:: Presidium Commons, Apollo's Cafe Time:: Midday
All in all, Blue had to admit this place was impressive. From her spot in the artificial sun-like lighting at a table on the deck of Apollo's Cafe, she could watch the comings and goings of the many vessels that traveled threw the Citadel. It was interesting to see the vast differences in the ships... not as vast as if you were watching from the Docks, but it was still a awesome show.
And it took her mind off the fact she felt she was spinning her wheels being up here. She'd been waiting weeks for Drake to show and so far, despite promises, the guy had yet to show his mug up here. It was beginning to tick her off... and Blue was not a person most folks got to tick off more then once.
Fishing up her cup, she took a couple swallows of the scorching hot liquid and kicked her feet up on the chair across from her at the corner table - her back to the wall, she could see everyone coming and going from the Cafe. It was a nice spot... good for watching people as well as ships.
Eyes narrowed slightly as she set the cup on the table in front of her and plucked up the datapad. She scanned the new arrivals as it updated - nope. Blue made a noise in her throat, something between a growl and a sigh, and dropped the pad back onto the tables smooth surface.
She'd give him another week so show his butt up. Maybe. At the most, a week.... then, if she hadn't heard from him, she was gonna find someone else that might need a good biotic and she getting some creds flowing. She was going broke here....
(tired of waiting for Drake - so she's in play. Sorry for the uber delay)

To say Drake was late for meeting Blue was an understatement, he had spent the past two months back on Earth helping to rebuild, most if not all of that was spent in London. It wasn't until a few days ago that he received his new set of orders which were to return to the citadel with his unit and await further orders there. It took some time getting there of course, but he spent that time with his crew either playing friendly games of Skyllian Five, drinking, or just generally talking about random nonsense. Some of them even compared how many of the reaper forces they took down during the Earth invasion...which just brought nothing but bad memories for him. Everything from the beginning of the invasion to the final moments still came back to him in dreams, mostly the faces of those he lost in that damn war.
His gun fired with unrelenting fury, bullets finding their mark on the faces of warped Husks, Cannibals, and Marauders. Around him countless people fell, for every civilian saved three soldiers had fallen. Flint...Flint his CO and a good friend had been injured and is command was passed over to Drake till such a time as when Flint could take over. Yet each time he went back to the final battle, he saw felt the explosion of the Gunship as it went down, his body in pain as he called the others on his headset. Then he came face to face with a cannibal, in his weakened state it drew closer, screaming and creeping towards him. He shouted at it, reaching for his gun as best he could but it was too late, the thing lunged at him and made contact, his body going cold and numb with death.
His body jerked awake as he felt the ship dock with the Citadel, panting a bit from the jolt the nightmare had given him. It wasn't true of course, his unit arrived when the cannibal showed up and had managed to pull him to safety. He rubbed the back of his neck calmly as he checked his fatigues carefully, making sure his clothes were in order before he stood up and moved towards the Airlock with a few others. From there it was a check in with C-Sec scanners, and then it was off from there. He wanted to find Blue...but he was hungry, and having him on an empty stomach was not a good thing, especially when meeting with someone. So he went to Apollo's, knowing it was the one place he could get some decent food and drink, and maybe have time to plan out where to go to find the woman he was looking for.
'Depends on where your hiding doesn't it Blue?, he thought to himself.
[Sorry it took so long hun ^^;; You can now burst his bubble.]

Dwelling on the dwindling state of her finances, Blue almost missed the update to her data-pad. Sorely considering upending the cup of tea on it, she looked toward the tables around her. Salarian, Asari, Turian... all looked pleased as punch and well kept... how the hell did that manage it on this place. It was a cred hole! Hum... maybe this was one of those places that changed Humans more for stuff.
She was just about to check the price that the Asari at the table down the way had paid for the same tea she had gotten and was already writing up a nasty worded letter to the yet to be appointed new Human Council Representative about pricing discrimination when (thankfully for everyone) she happened to notice the man stepping into line at the counter of the Cafe'.
"Well I'll be damned." Folding her arms on the table in front of her, she was pretty sure the military man in the line up was Drake, but just to be sure, she plucked up the data pad and read the new arrivals message.
Yup. There he was, listed just threw C-sec check in about ten minutes ago. She shook her head, setting the pad down on the table in front of her, and looked back at him. A quick once over told alot - fresh uniform, but he looked like he hadn't seen a good night's sleep in weeks. Blue frowned; that was going around a lot after everything that had happened. Heck, she couldn't even sleep without a couple shots of Bourbon in her.
Blue thought about going over, but instead opted for a 'easier' and more familiar form of communication. Slipping a pair of fingers into her mouth, she closed her lips around them and gave a sharp, short whistle - one they'd used when shouting would have given them away on the battle swept street. "Yo, Drake!"
The noise got her a dirty look from a Asari sitting a little bit from her; Blue was used to the weird looks from them though - she was pretty sure it was the vivid blue hair. "What?" The instant confrontation, Blue looked back to make sure Drake had seen her. Geez, Asari were a little over sensitive here - it wasn't like she was gelling her hand to look like them tentacle things. Now that would have been strange.
(Bust his bubble? Never. =p I figured you'd get here eventually. If not, I would have found someone else to torture with her.)
