Karrl had arrived at the Citadel not long before hand. He had never really spent much time on the Citadel, since most of his life either on Omega or on various assassination missions for the Shadow Broker. He spent a short time on there from time to time, just passing through really, nothing major. However, this, for the first time of his life, had been a time where he actually had some time off work, which he found surprising, since not only was he an agent for the Shadow Broker, but had recently become a corporal for the Systems Alliance, due to his heroic actions on earth when they had been fighting the reapers.
He had gone through basic training with the Alliance, for formal reasons anyways, because if his title was to be official he would have to have said basic training. So, it was not short after he had finished that he was given his first post on a frigate the SS Havana, and they had docked with the Citadel. He had been given shore leave, as were all the members of the Havana, and he had to admit, he was quite excited. He had been on the Citadel for a short while and had been walking around the place, he wanted to make the most of his time before he left again. Little did he know who he was going to meet, a person from his past.

Hectic had been the last few days for Shepard. First being released from the hospital and meeting with Liara, than the run in in the bar. Now she was out trying to clear her head once again. Though this time she was doing this by relaxing at a small cafe outside the docks between the Presidium and the Wards. She had still not learned the name of the place, but the owner joked with her about renaming the place Shepards as she was always there. It was with a wave of her hand that Shepard would introduce herself to the owner who was behind the counter. Taking her usual seat beside the open aired section of the cafe Shepard would have a large cup of coffee placed before her and the owner would leave.
She was not there to meet anyone in particular instead she enjoyed it as she got to see and hear the latest gossip firsthand instead of through Glitch who was getting annoying. As the VI had been allowed to travel to Shepards small rented apartment on the Citadel whenever it had updates pertienant to the other members that where on the Normandy during the final battle for Earth. Recently there has been a lot of comm traffic about a memorial for Admiral Anderson sometime in the next few months. She hoped by then she was well enough to walk. No matter how much she hated Cerberus she knew one thing. Whatever they put in her helped with her recovery, speeding it up by a good ten to twenty times.

It did not take him long to get out of the docks, a little longer than he had hoped, but even with that the process was not that long. All he had to do was stand there and get scanned, but Karrl has never been the kind of guy who could just stand around and do nothing. Never the less, he did it, but the expression that had been on his face with impatient and irritation. However, the reason why he was irritated was because he had to give his identification, and stand there as he was processed, even though he was just there on shore leave.
However, it was over and he could calm down. He did not want to get through the entire presidium on his first visit, so, he thought he would just stop and have a drink. He knew it was a little too early for anything strong, so he decided to go to one of the cafes around the place. A crewmate of his told him about one not far from the docks. So, due to the recommendation he decided to go there. He had to admit, he wondered what sort of drinks he could get there. He had always been fond of this old fashioned human drink called coca cola. He doubted they would have it, but one can never know.
When he finally reached the place he looked around, his crewmate was right, it was a nice looking establishment. He gave a quick smile and went in. Looking around he tried to find a seat, it did not take him long, and he had been lucky, it was by a window. He walked over and sat down instantly grabbing one of the menus. As he looked over what they had he caught sight of someone from the corner of his eye, however he did not quite notice the person as he was too focused on the menu. When the waitress came he gave her a smile, “Yeah, I’ll have a coke, oh, ‘n’ a bacon sandwich please.” The bar made nodded and went to get his order.

Shepard had been sitting there enjoying her coffee she would see a new person entering the establishment. Watching them closely as she did everyone she felt it when they had glanced over her way. Keeping to herself she would stay in her own cup and only listen up to what they are speaking. It was a simple ordering for food that she would smile at. Her own diet was still rather restrictive mostly so that the rehabilitation would not be complicated by any other issues.
Finishing off her coffee she would place the cup back on the table and would grab a datapad she was reading off of. It was several reports of military strength and of a few other personal messages from her squadmates. Looking up she noticed the owner carrying out the mans food. After exchanging pleasantries with the man and setting the food down Shepard would raise her voice and call over the owner/
"Hey, Can I get a refill over here."
The owner would walk over and grab her cup and Shepard would lean back in her seat awaiting their return.

Karrl smiled when the owner walked out with his drink and sandwich. As he put it down Karrl nodded and thanked the man. He looked at his sandwich he had never has a bacon sandwich before he went to earth, spending most of his days on Omega, well, before he was recruited by the Shadow Broker. When the war was over with the Reapers he was offered a cup of tea and a bacon sandwich from this middle aged woman, from London if he could recall correctly. After eating and drinking he did not mind the tea, but the sandwich he absolutely loved.
He smiled a bit as he reached for the sandwich, however, he stopped when he heard a voice and he smiled a bit more. He continued and grabbed his delectable bread and pork based meal and bit into it. He savoured the bite, but after he swallowed he spoke, it seemed like he was talking to himself, but what he said was not exactly what one would say to himself, “Well Commander, it’s been a while, I aint seen you since Rothla.” Rothla was the planet where he first met the Commander, and where she saved his neck. He hoped Shepard was listening, because he would feel like a fool if she wasn’t.

Shepard had been leaning back in her chair when the owner returned with her coffee. Pouring down the coffee down her throat she would drink down a few gulps before setting it back onto the table. It was after a few minutes she would hear someone speak up and she would listen to the words. Knowing the voice in the cafe from a mission and it was some person from Liara's network. Of course the commander would not expose him, and yet he had mentioned the exact mission by name.
Shepard would lean forward allowing the chair to resettle on the ground. Placing her cup down she would glance in Karrl's direction before speaking up.
"Rothla you say? I was there only for a few hours, but I do remember saving some group of people there. I believe they where running some black ops for the Crucible construction and had run into stiff resistance. It was fortunate that I had arrived when I did otherwise the group might of been wiped out."
